1998 Château Les Ormes de Pez, Cru Bourgeois St-Estèphe

Savoury characters on the nose with a touch of wild strawberry. On the palate, blackcurrant and hedgerow fruits dominate, with a touch of spice coming through. The tannins are soft and supple and the acidity low, but there is a vein of that St. Estèphe minerality running throughout, giving structure. Drinking beautifully now.
