The second vintage after the Chanel acquisition, this has quite an old-school claret feel to it. Quite different in style to the modern era of Rauzan, there is still something quite charming about this Margaux. Opening with savoury notes of truffle, leather and dried herbs, there is plenty of life and energy left on the palate. Dried cherry, soy, and fresh earth, with long, grippy finish that still shows some power. A wine to drink and enjoy in the next couple of years.
