The 2022 Château Moulinet-Lasserre comes from 5 hectares of vines in Pomerol and is 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec. Its deep purple color is followed by a ripe, intense bouquet of black cherries, scorched earth, chocolaty herbs, and graphite. With medium to full-bodied richness, terrific purity, and silky tannins, it's going to keep for 10-15 years.
Attractive currant, coffee-bean and ovaltine aromas follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and a fresh and bright finish. Orange peel at the end. Very fine. 75% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon.
The 2022 Moulinet-Lasserre is a potent, brooding Pomerol. Dark-toned fruit, leather, gravel, incense and cured meats add to an impression of virile introspection. This could be quite good if the tannins soften a bit.
