2021 Château Lynch-Moussas, Cru Classé Pauillac

2021 Château Lynch-Moussas, Cru Classé Pauillac

Tasted April 2022. This has a lovely mixture of ripe black fruits like blackberry and plum, with brighter red fruits like raspberry and cranberry. There's lots of savoury spice and sweeter baking spices creating complexity and a rounded, creamy fruit texture on the palate. The tannins are broad and mouth-coating and it has a long, savoury finish. 13%.

Château Lynch-Moussas

Lynch-Moussas is a Fifth Growth Pauillac offering both quality and value. It is made by the Castéja family, who also own Château Batailley, and has been going from strength to strength over recent years. Like its more famous stablemate, it is an estate where recent investments are paying off. 62 hectares are dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted on gravelly outcrops and making the most of the fine Pauillac soils.
