Château Potensac is always a favourite here at Lay & Wheeler. A cool terroir at the north of the Médoc produces a classically styled claret that punches well above its price point, and that ages beautifully. The 2020 is a beauty. Cool fruit and a gravelly texture mark out a brilliant value left bank Bordeaux. Excellent.
This is very balanced and round with lovely softness. Plenty of fruity. Medium body. Lots of salinity and savoriness. Long and delicious. Friendly already. 44% merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 22% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot.
