2017 Château Lynch-Moussas, Cru Classé Pauillac

2017 Château Lynch-Moussas, Cru Classé Pauillac

Nice power and depth to the dark fruit, with a touch of cassis sweetness. There's good balance and freshness and energy carrying it along. A very Pauillac and saline finish.

Tasting notes

This is precise and linear with a very pretty center palate of tannins and a bright finish. Fresh acidity. Some hazelnuts just at the end, but it’s not from the wood. Elegant and refined.

Château Lynch-Moussas

Lynch-Moussas is a Fifth Growth Pauillac offering both quality and value. It is made by the Castéja family, who also own Château Batailley, and has been going from strength to strength over recent years. Like its more famous stablemate, it is an estate where recent investments are paying off. 62 hectares are dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted on gravelly outcrops and making the most of the fine Pauillac soils.
