Tasting notes

PeterSisseck's Bordeaux adventure. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon planted on 1.5ha of vines before 1956. 30% new oak. Full, round and scented. Quite firm and fresh with a slightly tarry end. Falls away a little on the end. He admits the first vintage, 2010, was overripe. Definitely getting there.

This shows superb freshness and minerality with a profound purity of fruit and depth. Full-bodied yet remains agile and subtle. Such decadence yet finesse at the finish. A triumph. Perhaps a little more clarity and brilliance to this even compared to the 2015.
