2015 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Cru Classé Pauillac

Whilst Pichon Baron is incredibly consistent, Pichon Lalande seems to have an extra element of flare in 2015, a real X factor. The nose is expressive but concentrated, with an enticing perfume drawing you into the glass. Long and precise on the palate, but also with an effortless weight, you can feel the weight and aromatic character of the 29% Merlot in the blend. This is polished without being overblown.
