The 2014 Potensac is a great example of why this is the insider's tip vintage in the northern Médoc. It's perfumed with red berries and floral notes on the nose, with some more brooding tobacco and earthy aromas beneath. There's still some tannin here, firm initially but beginning to melt and integrate with the rest of the wine. There's also plenty of refreshing acidity and saline notes, leaving the wine energetic and bright on the finish.
