A dark and brooding, cassis nose with some pepper, this wine from the Cuvelier stable is fantastically balanced in 2014, with a really enjoyable savoury edge to the finish. With 53% Cabernet, 27% Merlot, and a fairly remarkable 20% Petit Verdot, the latter figure adds a delightful spicy element, and also demonstrates the quality of this variety in the vintage.
