2013 Château Batailley, Cru Classé Pauillac

2013 Château Batailley, Cru Classé Pauillac

A strongly Cabernet Sauvignon driven wine (94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot) the nose offers intense aromas of sweet, ripe red berry fruits. This fruit sweetness is evident on the palate as volume and texture and a persistence of flavour, framed and balanced with a light grip of tannin. This is a faithful (not to mention successful) expression of Pauillac offering good drinking Claret at the right price.
