2011 Château Le Tertre Roteboeuf, Grand Cru St-Emilion
“We tasted this before Roc de Cambes, which was harvested 10 days later than Tertre Roteboeuf, where the vine maturity was hastened by the August rain. Deep, dark cherry colour (though hard to tell in the cellar). Lovely aroma of red fruits, cherry and a touch of mocha. Smells (as I often find with TR) not a little burgundian. Denser on the palate but the tannins are very fine and although there are some dried fruit notes it is still very fresh. An intelligent tannin structure. “
