Historically low yields of just 27hl/ha result in a saturated opaque core and with twice as much cabernet franc as usual there is a savoury richness to the cassis and currant laden nose. Muscular but well proportioned, with a brooding palate of blackcurrants and tarmac, Although hugely tannic and foursquare at the moment this a masterclass of concentration without over-extraction.
