2010 Chapelle d'Ausone, St-Emilion

2010 Chapelle d'Ausone, St-Emilion

Beautifully fragrant in the glass, with notes of cherry and white flowers. On the palate, this is a big wine with massive depth and density. The tannins, while fine and ripe, give considerable structure and backbone to the intense core of fruit and yet there is elegance here, due to a delicate seam of minerality that brings an enlivening and balancing freshness on the finish. Very fine indeed.
