2009 Château Canon, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

2009 Château Canon, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

Damson compôte intermingles with a hint of liquorice on the nose. Ripe blackberry and plum fruit on the attack is followed by a freshening graphite minerality. Structurally, this is a big wine exhibiting muscular, mouthcoating tannins, which are well-balanced against the weight and concentration of fruit. A big, burly example of St-Emilion.

Robert Parker: 93-95 points (Wine Advocate 188)
