2009 Château La Fleur-Pétrus, Pomerol

Seems a little muted next to some of its siblings at this early stage. As ever, a feminine style, with raspberry, mint and black cherry nuances. The quailty of the vintage shines through however and there is real potential here, with a great balance between tight, silky tannins, freshening acidity and an alluring fruit core. Doubtless this will evolve beautifully over time to reveal an elegant and attractive expression of fine Pomerol.
