2009 Château Léoville-Poyferré, Cru Classé St-Julien
Intense nose of graphite, black cherry, damson and cassis, with a scented note beneath. Mineral tannins and St-Julien elegance grace the palate, which should gain a touch of weight with barrel-ageing, turning this into a very complete Poyferré. It already demonstrates the fruit quality, freshness, tannin style and length to be a great wine.
