Comprised of 45% Merlot in contrast to the Grand Vin, Pagodes shows aromas that include ripe plum and discreet toast. On the palate it delivers bright, vibrant, dark cherry and plum fruit, with well-integrated toasty oak. Lushly styled, this is a very appealing Pagodes with fine, pure fruit and terrific freshness. Very appealing, comfortably among the finest Pagodes that we can recall and a second wine that could compete in its own right with much of the Grand Vin production of St.Estèphe. Robert Parker: 90-92
