Certainly one of the most graceful Pomerol in any vintage, Lafleur-Petrus is situated adjacent to Petrus, on gravelly soil, and captures alluring yet restrained fruit. Discreet fruit and mineral aromas on nose, with hints fresh cherry. This is a very silky Lafleur-Petrus, with seductive-natured fruit, lifted, floral characters and ample, dense plum and red berry fruit. Creamy, pure and stylish, as Lafleur-Petrus so often is - an exercise in refinement. There is a taut, tightly wound quality to the structure, with fine buttressing tannins. An understated, refined and mineral Lafleur-Petrus, on very classic lines.
