2008 Château Mouton-Rothschild, 1er Cru Pauillac

2008 Château Mouton-Rothschild, 1er Cru Pauillac

Tightly wound nose. Black fruit and coffee, as well as floral notes. This is all about freshness and vibrancy. The fruit is pure and focused but the wine steers well clear of being overworked in any way. There is a delicacy and harmony on the palate, the tannins are fine-grained and beautifully balanced. Great persistence of red and black berry fruit, with well-integrated creamy and toasty notes. A great wine that clearly displays its credentials in the restraint, yet vibrancy, of its expression. Robert Parker: 94-96
