There is a scented, fragrant note to the berry characters on the nose here as well as a little vanillin and toast from new oak. The fruit on the palate is abundant, and accessible. There is a pleasing, layered note of concentration, although Talbot remains a mid-weight st-julien with a fleshy, succulent core. On the finish, there is an almost cherry-like note to the acidity. Overall this is a supple, comparatively forward-drinking Talbot, classic in proportion with a refined sense of elegance.
