Château director Jean-Michel Laporte has turned out a wonderful La Conseillante this year. Virtually opaque in the glass, this is a wine that shouts class. The nose is brimming with spiced blackberry and stone-fruit scents whilst the palate delivers layer upon layer of the most sumptuous and delectable fruit, cushioned on a firm, grippy structure. One of the superstars.
