Showing good depth in the glass, the nose hinges on sweet cassis, with almost scented blackcurrant leaf. The palate reveals a fine, ripe core of vibrant dark fruits allied to discreet notes of toast and vanillin. There is ample sense of richness and a layered intensity as well as soft, approachable tannins. Long and lingering with a smoky mineral note to its succulent berry flavours.
