2006 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux

2006 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux

Attractive bramble and currant fruit notes on the nose, with floral nuances. On the palate, the tannins are fine grained and there is a core of pure, concentrated blackcurrant and blueberry fruit. This wine is all about purity, a characteristic emphasised by a vein of freshness with cool, stony minerality running throughout. This is a near-perfect example of textbook margaux. Very good indeed.
