2006 Château Moulin-St-Georges, Grand Cru St-Emilion

2006 Château Moulin-St-Georges, Grand Cru St-Emilion

A vibrant, mulberry red in the glass, this has an attractive nose of spicy red berry fruit with a hint of violets. On the palate, there is a pure and voluminous black cherry fruit character, with undertones of hedgerow fruits. Broad-shouldered, but fine tannins provide the structure and backbone to this wine. An almost redcurrant acidity offsets the richness somewhat, to create a well-balanced st-emilion with a sense of restrained flamboyance.
