Take the stress out of buying a gift, let them choose exactly what they want.
The most worrying feature at Cos is not quality (far from it!) but quantity. Jean-Guillaume Prats advised us that yield was down from 48 hectolitres per hectare in 2005 to 38 hectolitres per hectare in 2006. The nose of Cos is of black fruits and smoky oak, whilst the palate is swathed in black fruits together with a touch of tobacco leaf and minerality. Less turbo-charged than in 2005 and most definitely a more elegant style of Cos than we have come to expect. Sultry and brooding yet with freshness and vitality.
