Under the direction of Jean-Michel Cazes, this property regularly produces wines of consistently higher quality than their Fifth Growth classification. Powerful and with a typically long finish, this is undoubtedly one of Pauillac’s greats. Beautifully pure, with notes of cassis and plum, as well as a hint of toast. There is also a sense of the characteristic freshness of the vintage, which perfectly balances the fine tannins.
