2006 Château Gruaud Larose, Cru Classé St-Julien

2006 Château Gruaud Larose, Cru Classé St-Julien

Scented berry fruit on the nose with notes of summer berry and a touch of cassis. The palate reveals good intensity, it is not weighty but has pleasing substance. There is lively lift on the palate with an almost blueberry fruit character lending interest to the more typical summer berry compote. Traces of wet-stone minerality course through the fruit to the finish. Elegant and expressive, this is a very good st-julien with fine, lingering ripe fruit.
