2006 Château Latour, 1er Cru Pauillac

2006 Château Latour, 1er Cru Pauillac

Deep and opaque in the glass, the aromas offer pure black fruits, wetstone characters and toast. On the palate Latour is pure and layered with terrific wealth and breadth of black fruit. There is plenty of substance and the wine is linear in style with plenty of firm gravely, yet silky tannins. There is a sense of tautness here - a structured Latour with plenty of potential. Markedly mineral with graphite-like nuances coursing across the palate and acidity which gives it a vibrant nature. A pure and tremendously long Latour, this will demand patience. Sensational, this is yet another great vintage for this property.
