2005 Réserve de la Comtesse, Pauillac

2005 Réserve de la Comtesse, Pauillac

This second wine of Comtesse de Lalande represents an important 40% of production in 2005. Plum and red fruit scents to the aromas here. Merlot dominates the second label in 2005, accounting for 49% (experts will be interested to note the 11% contribution of the scented Petit Verdot too). The fruit shows pleasing ripeness and charm, with succulent plum and damson along with a smoky nuance. This is a mid-weight example with no harsh edges that will provide wonderful drinking.
