The widely admired Stephane Derenoncourt is now the consultant oenologist at Prieuré Lichine and in the wake of his arrival the quality of wine from this historic property has been raised. 2005 Prieuré is weighty, rich and positively laden with opulent, spiced black fruit flavours. Although Prieuré packs a considerable punch, the luscious, floral fruit character of classic Margaux is in evidence here.
