2005 Château La Tour Haut-Brion, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan
A miniscule production of just 1500 cases. The assemablage comprises 41% Cabernet Franc, 32% Merlot and 27% Cabernet Sauvignon. The aromas hint at cassis, and leafy blackcurrant fruit, with a touch of toast. The palate shows in an accessible manner, supple at first then the sense of structure builds. Vibrant berry fruit, with leafy Cabernet Franc characters comes to the fore. A refined example , with a pleasing harmonious touch as one would expect from this stable.
