2005 Château Berliquet, Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

2005 Château Berliquet, Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

The assemblage of 2005 Berliquet is 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Vivid crimson with aromas of pure, ripe, perfumed fruit. The palate is packed with glossy textured, dense, yet lush plum and damson flavours that display a gentle but mouth-filling nature. Discreet with fine-grained tannins and a pleasing sense of vibrancy. The balance is very fine with the accent on pure-natured fruit. A very appealing Saint-Emilion that will provide delicious mid-term drinking but which has the capacity to age. An aristocratic, refined bordeaux that will please aficionados of classic Saint-Emilion.
