Easter is coming: we encourage you to make your selection early to ensure you've the right wines to enjoy over the holiday weekend.
Cultured, aristocratic, well bred, this is fine saint-julien from a propertythat can do no wrong. Las Cases is always deeply coloured andconcentrated and in 2005 it has produced a majestic wine that will lastfor a generation and more. However Las Cases is not all about weightand substance for although the palate was quite closed on the day ofour visit, deep down there were hints of the wealth of flavours andcomplexity that will open out in the years to come. Located adjacent tothe Saint-Julien/Pauillac boundary (Latour is its northerly neighbour) LasCases can easily be confused as a pauillac – its power, intensity andpencil shaving scent akin to wines across the appellation border. Astructured and powerful Las Cases but there is no sign of over-extraction.Richness of fruit tempers a strong framework. A legend in the makingfrom one of Bordeaux’ most consistent performers.
