2004 Château Clinet, Pomerol
Concentrated, solid and intense, Clinet’s wines have gained a loyal following in recent years. The 2004 vintage is an assemblage of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. The aromas here are perfumed with fresh stone fruit to the fore. On the palate it packs a considerable punch with its intense concentrated black fruit and macerated cherry character. A substantial mouthful of wine with a strong, forceful personality. General Manager Alain Gourdis was justifiably proud of the Château’s achievement this vintage.
