2004 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux

2004 Château Giscours, Cru Classé Margaux

A classic margaux style with lovely lingering, fine, almost feminine fruit. The tannins here are finely expressed and lend structure but are by no means overly assertive. The new regime at Giscours has found a firm consistency that was lacking in the 1980s and it is encouraging to witness a revival in fortunes for this British favourite. A sumptuous effort that comes highly recommended.
