2004 Château Léoville-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

2004 Château Léoville-Barton, Cru Classé St-Julien

Deep, near opaque in the glass, with forest fruit aromas and a sweet scent of ripeness. The palate possesses a fine mouthfeel and a solid, bold core of fruit. A firm grip is evident as is, crucially, a marked freshness. There is real intensity here, with plenty of blackcurrant fruit. A fine effort that is both sturdy and generous.
