2003 Château Bernadotte, Haut-Médoc
Deep plum red with notes of blackberry and cassis on the nose which are confirmed on the palate. The fruit is supple and ripe with elegance and finesse, hallmarks of the Pichon style, combined with hints of cinnamon, all of which is ably supported by ripe tannins to give a full, rounded structure. This promises to be one of the best wines yet from this up-and-coming property.
