2003 Château Talbot, Cru Classé St-Julien
I cannot remember tasting a more voluptuous and voluminous Talbot in a long, long time. Splendidly structured and luxuriously fruity, it sits between Léovilles Barton and Poyferré in weight and exhibits masses of concentrated red and black fruit flavours. To the finish there is a burst of ripe blackberries laced with spice. A memorable Talbot.
