2003 Château Angélus, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

2003 Château Angélus, 1er Grand Cru Classé St-Emilion

A compelling blend of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot. This is a big mouthful of wine. The colour is opaque and the bouquet is of red and black fruits with an enveloping presence of new oak. Full bodied and powerful, it is deep and broad on the palate and again the extract and concentration is backed with copious oak and firm tannins. This is a forceful statement, built for the long haul.
