A much reduced crop in 2001 has been compensated by an extremely successful result. Christine Valette’s estate has been one of St-Emilion’s star performers of late and the more refined style now being achieved has lifted Troplong’s wines to even higher levels. Richness, spiciness and sumptuous fruit are to be found here. Well done.
