Radio-Coteau
Radio-Coteau was founded by Eric Sussman in 2002, a winemaker who’d spent time working around the world, including in Pauillac with Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Pauillac, and in Burgundy at Domaine Comte Armand of Pommard and Domaine Jacques Prieur of Meursault. He named it Radio-Coteau, after the French colloquialism meaning word of mouth, or literally, and rather more aptly for a wine estate, a hillside broadcast. In the eighteen years since its foundation, the estate has developed a huge following among the cognoscenti of balanced Californian wines: Antonio Galloni recently wrote, “very few wineries excel at seemingly everything. Radio-Coteau is among them. Every wine is just spot-on.”
