Spanish winery, Compañia Vinicola del Norte de España, is run by the same family today as on its inception in 1879. Their success story is punctuated by many milestones but perhaps the most serendipitous was the development of the widely adopted Cune branding, introduced after a simple spelling mistake was made on their first wine “CVNE.” This fortunate mistake marks the beginning of this iconic winery’s long history of making artisanal, traditional wines. Determined to produce wines with charisma and personality, Cune have expanded significantly since their establishment. Seven wineries across Spain use historic vineyards and native grape varietals to produce wines that reflect the character of their environs. Highlights in their portfolio include the oldest white wine brand in Spain, Cune’s Rioja white and Cune’s Rioja Reserva.
