Elisabetta Geppetti inherited this estate in 1985, and quickly set it on course for greatness. In 1992, she became president on the local winemakers’ consortium, earning the nickname “the Lady of Morellino”. Her efforts have been complemented by some superb consultants, including Giacomo Tachis, who professionalised production at Tenuta San Guido, Christian Sommer, formerly of Château Latour, and currently Luca d’Attoma, described by Antonio Galloni as “the hottest winemaker in Tuscany right now”.
