Château Beaumont
Château Beaumont makes classic Cru Bourgeois which offers delicious, good value drinking. It’s owned by the same group who own Beychevelle and Lagrange and sits between St-Julien and Margaux. The beautiful, turreted château dates to 1854, when it was built by the wealthy Bonin brothers. They only owned the estate for a decade before it went through several changes of hands, including a notable stint with a relative of South American revolutionary, Simón Bolivar. Today, the single block 113 hectare vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot and farmed with Integrated Viticulture practices in mind - aiming to produce the best quality grapes with the greatest respect for the environment.
