This pale pink rosé made from Pinot Noir is vibrant, fresh, and so easy to drink. Lightly scented with red currants, Sancerre’s signature acidity gives the palate drive and focus. Luc Prieur uses the fruit from his young vine Pinot, and the wine is juicy, bright, and refreshing: a brilliant alternative to Provençal rosé.

The 2019 is a blend of 63% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 12% Syrah, and 5% Rolle, grown on the schist and clay soils on one of Provence's finest properties. It is made only from the "coeur de grain" - the very purest juice of the berries. It is another fantastic example of this estate's knack of producing wines with an unmatched purity and delicacy. Light garrigue herbs on the nose and a fine-boned frame with red berries and salty freshness weaving through the silky palate deliver the best of Provence. Undoubtedly the most graceful rosé on the market from the Domaine that put this style of light, crisp, dry and delicate Provencal rosé on the map.

La Londe is unusual in the Côtes de Provence for warranting its own appellation. It applies only to the best sites between Toulon and St Tropez, close to the coast, facing the dazzling Porquerolle islands. Here, the schiste soils and cooling sea breeze combine to make the most elegant and sophisticated of the region’s rosés. This is the top wine from the Combard family, made from the domaine’s organically-farmed grapes, selected and vinified by parcel with meticulous attention to detail. It is fine-boned and subtle, ethereal and enticing, and shows just what the best terroirs of Provence are capable of.

Just a lovely Rose from Matt Day, only bottled in tiny quantities, and only in magnums. So much texture and salinity here, it has you reaching for glass after glass.

2019 Break-a-Leg Rosé, Lukas van Loggerenberg

Dry | Rosé | Still | 12.5%

This is made from Cinsault fruit from Stellenbosch, and is made in a pale, delicate, provencal style. Wild strawberries and crunchy cherries on the nose give way to a textured, intense palate, that’s simply delicious. This is a wine you can’t stop drinking: from a real star of South Africa. Not to be missed.
