Our first ever celebration of all things Spanish, with a tasting and very special dinner
This summer we are delighted to be holding another first in recent Lay & Wheeler history - a tasting dedicated solely to the wines (and food) of Spain. A country where the historic, established winemaking is just as exciting as the modern, cutting-edge examples, this really is a place where you can find a wine for every palate.
In addition to storied producers that we have worked with for many years such as La Rioja Alta and Lopez de Heredia, we will also be pouring wines from a wide range of new producers that our buyers have discovered over the last few years. Superior Sherry, magnificent Mencia, and perfect Priorat will feature alongside a treasure trove of other delights.
Our tasting will be held at Fitzrovia restaurant Arros QD, where in addition to the wines we will be providing a range of Spanish cheeses and freshly-carved Ibérico Jamón throughout the tasting.
But if that isn’t enough for you, we will also be making a small number of spaces available for a very special dinner immediately following the tasting. We will lay on a range of top Spanish bottles to enjoy alongside the tasting menu from Arros QD’s Quique Dacosta - one of the World’s 50 Best Chefs.
Compared to our usual tastings, this will be a much smaller venue so tickets will be very limited. For the dinner after there will be even fewer spaces available, so do secure yours as soon as possible.

To save you the trouble of printing out a ticket, we’ll have a guestlist at the door.
If you purchase more than one ticket, please share the name(s) of your guest(s) with [email protected] so that we know to expect them.
If you can no longer make it, you’re welcome to find a guest to attend in your place - simply share the name of the new attendee with us. If you fail to do so, we’ll do our very best to credit your ticket towards the purchase of future wines, although regrettably, we cannot process credits with less than 48 hours’ notice prior to the start of the event.
