2014 Quincy Vin Noble, Domaines Tatin

2014 Quincy Vin Noble, Domaines Tatin

A new addition to our range this year and quite a find considering the excellent value the Quincy can represent. Jean uses old vines with up to 60 years of age for the Vin Noble, expansive and intense with a supple, juicy fruit character that makes this unique and eminently drinkable. This has a wonderful palate, with the Loire’s hallmark mineral texture.

Domaine du Tremblay (Tatin)

An estate that’s been in the Tatin family (of Tarte fame) since 1872, Jean Tatin and Chantelle Wilk have been at the helm since the late 1980s. Always thinking, Jean’s latest project is to produce tiny quantities from four different sites in Quincy, bottling them individually for a comparison of Quincy’s varied terroirs. Meanwhile his Vin Noble, a Lay & Wheeler favourite, is really impressive in 2015: refreshing and concentrated, it’s the perfect summer wine.
