Léoville-Barton has been a favourite property of ours for many years, making classic claret in a traditional vein: broad, muscular and structural. Concentrated, cassis fruit makes up the core, encased in bold, ripe tannins. Complex notes of sous-bois, store-cupboard spice and ground coffee come through with time in the glass and lead through to a satisfying finish. Delicious, pure Bordeaux.
