Dense and concentrated, there is no doubt that this is serious claret. Notes of cedar and cigar box rise from the glass and are also reflected in the complex, layered palate of dark berry fruit, woodsmoke and spice. The tannins, having been robust when the wine was young, have softened, giving a silky texture to this beautifully balanced, very fine Margaux.
